Reverend Sandy Jacob has been a Religious Science minister since 1987, within the Religious Science International (RSI) organization. She was born in South Africa, moved to New York when she was 7 years old. After high school, she graduated from Bethany College in West Virginia in 1970 with a Bachelor's degree. Sandy then moved to California, where she taught in several schools. She finished her Masters degree at Cal Poly University, Pomona before beginning work as a Girl Scout Executive in Southern California. She relocated with the Girl Scouts to Fresno, CA and began attending the RSI Church in Fresno. Leaving the Girl Scouts, she began a small business in Fresno and studied Religious Science diligently as she was pursuing her career in the ministry.

She was selected to re-start the Visalia, CA Church of Religious Science after it had lost its charter. In 1992, she was elected to the RSI Board of Directors, serving in many capacities including 1st Vice-President, ten years as a member of the Board of Education and six years as Chairperson. In 1998, Sandy received her doctorate through Religious Science International. She was selected Minister of the Year in 2002. In 2006 Sandy received the Dr. Robert Bitzer Legacy Award, one of the most prestigious awards given by Religious Science International. She completed her 15th year of service on the Board in July of 2006.

Sandy was the minister of the Visalia Church until 1998. She then decided to relocate to the North Shore of Lake Tahoe to further pursue her love of nature, do some writing and reflecting, and deepen her ministry in a different, less traditional fashion.

Founded in 1999, Circle's Edge Spiritual Center is a growing and evolving inclusive and welcoming spiritual community. Check out Our Spiritual Center for location information.

Sandy now lives in Reno and continues to seek ways of inspiring others through her ministry at Circle’s Edge, her teaching, writing and recording. When not involved in church activities she can be found on the golf course, hiking or playing with her two poodles and Cairn terrier.
